Despite the feelings of dread, I went to the monthly ‘Writer’s Workshop’ meeting at my library last night.
I’d never been to anything like it before, and really didn’t know what to expect.  The flier said: “Writers 16+”, so I was anticipating a bunch of younger people with their Harry Potter fan-fiction or their attempts at creating the next Twilight.  I was very, very nervous about the whole thing.

So I printed out the story that I’ve been working on for 6+ years, and packed up my laptop, and went to go meet with these other writers.

D&D Adventure Progress

I’ve made some impressive progress (at least to me) on my Adventure.  I have most of the story events, and descriptions typed up, with some occasional, scripted combat encounters.  I’m currently working on how I want the ending battle to be – I have some really neat mechanics in place for the 2nd to last battle (using some interesting portal mechanics, inspired by this post), but I haven’t decieded how I want the PCs to overcome the final boss(es).

Update, Part 2

Well, taking my last post into consideration, I decided to do some major housekeeping around here.

I removed all posts pertaining to the TARGEngine, and removed several other posts that were no longer relevant to anything, or were just me whining about whatever.  All told, I ended up disabling 45 posts.  I also spent a great deal of time reorganizing my categories.  I think there’s still a lot of work left to do to make them really work the way I would like, but it’s a step in the right direction.

Campaigning

In planning for my upcoming PbP Campaign, I’ve started writing up the Adventure that I want to use for the Campaign.  It’s turning out much better than I had planned (maybe I have a knack for this ‘writing thing’ afterall ;) ).  So, I’m wondering how I can refine my adventure, once it’s finished, to be viable for other people to use?

Space Game Update

So, it only took me about a day to finish writing down my plans for my Space Game – although, I do want to proofread, re-read, and triple check everything to make sure it sounds good, and I still need to make some more mock-ups for the other cards.  I really like  how it all turned out.  It just seemed to flow together effortlessly, and I’m really happy with it.  So, here are a few of the mock-up cards I made for it:
